I have a confession to make...I'm kind of obsessed with food. Some people bring home souvenirs from trips. I bring home food. I once brought a tarte au citron back from
Gerard Mulot in Paris. Wherever we travel, near or far, I usually have a list of restaurants I want to try as well as old standbys to which I want to return. Last week in Atlanta, I got to do all three. I tried a new-to-me place, went to an old favorite and came home with breads and cheeses from my beloved
Star Provisions.
The heart of Buckhead has recently gotten a facelift with a whole new open-air mall full of exciting shops and restaurants, and we finally got a chance to explore them. Since we were only in town for one night, I knew we needed to hit it out of the park with dinner, and
Le Bilboquet was an easy solution. My mom and I have long been fans of the New York location of the bistro, and I know this will not be our last visit to the one in Atlanta.
Last but not least was Shake Shack! After recently conducting a search to find the best burger in my hometown, I thought it was important to try Shake Shack's version, and I was not disappointed. I had the ShackBurger, while my mom went vegetarian with the 'Shroom Burger. I can see why this little burger stand has gone viral, so to speak, but I have to tell you, as good as it was, it didn't hold a candle to a
Blue Dot burger here in Pensacola!
