WMTH Eats: Commander's Palace

Brunch at Commander's Palace far exceeded my expectations in a "how soon can I get back here" kind of way.  Everything was so delicious.  When one of my best friends called me the week before my birthday and said he made a reservation for 10:30 Sunday morning, I was a little concerned that I might rather be snug in my bed at the Roosevelt until the last possible second after a weekend in New Orleans.  I peeled myself out of bed, showered and dressed in a pretty grumpy sort of way.  It was not until I bit into the buttered and toasted garlic bread that things started to look up.  I ordered a Mimosa  but the real fun watching the Bloody Mary spiked tableside with "ice block" vodka.  I included the menu descriptions in the caption of each photo.  The Cochon De Lait Eggs Benedict was the best I have ever had.  The biscuit was the perfect texture and the eggs were cooked to perfection.
Thank you Gills for this special treat!

  2. You ordered exactly what I would have ordered from the menu. At brunch I always get Eggs Benedict and a mimosa, sometimes two. ;-)
