OOTD: My Fall Uniform

I'm obsessed with this Rag & Bone top and American Eagle Jeans!  It's kind of become my uniform in the midst of all the chaos since Thanksgiving, and I've been wanting to share it with you for weeks.    The final piece of my uniform is these Dolce Vita boots.  To say I love them, would be an understatement.  As much as I love the look of a heel, chasing kids and pets usually calls for a flat, in my opinion.  These boots are the perfect marriage of comfort and style.   Recently, I paired the outfit with my Olive & Pique hat that I picked up this fall in Nashville to give the look a little edge.

I owe Traci a big thank you for keeping me motivated to do this post. I've been a little overwhelmed with all the shopping, Christmas cards, and school parties and pageants that get piled on top of our crazy, busy everyday life this time of year.  Thank heavens for the new Adele album.  To regain my sanity (or maybe to just escape life for a moment), I've watching Adele videos on a continuous loop on Youtube.  As a result, my children now know all the words to every song on 25.  Yet, I am proud to say that I finally managed to pull myself away from Adele, and Traci graciously agreed to take some pictures.

Traci inspired me to check out the denim at American Eagle after she raved about her "Tomgirl" jeans.  I ended up with a pair of skinny, distressed "Denim X Cafe Jegging," and I am as big a fan as she is.

These boots are so comfortable that I wear them almost every day.  I love the dark gray color.  It goes with everything and is a little bit unexpected compared to a basic black boot.

I have been in the market for a cross-body bag for quite some time.  I wanted something that I could easily carry out for the evening and not have to worry about getting in the way or holding on to it.  This Rebecca Minkoff bag fit the bill.  I like the subtly of the black chain and the quilted detailing.

Traci and I had two little helpers today while we were working.  They were really good and played quietly while we took pictures.  When we said they could "jump" in a shot, one little monkey took it seriously.  What is not pictured is how I completely fell over because of this silly little girl.
