Spring Break is almost here. We are kicking off the week at Lake Burton but this is not our average trip to the lake. No swimsuits, tubing or jumping off the boathouse because we are going to a wedding! I have known the bride ever since she was in high school and I was a freshman at UGA with her sister. We have made so many memories over the years at the lake. It will be a special place for her to tie the knot. The Waterfall Club is the site for the wedding and reception. I cannot wait to check it out. The views of the lake are breathtaking and the company is going to be even better.
Moving on to another important detail. What to wear? Late March is a tough time because we are all ready for spring but I have a feeling it will be a little chilly in the North Georgia mountains at 5pm on Saturday. I know we have been talking all florals, cold shoulder tops and swimsuits lately but I think I am going with a classic black dress and nude heels. This Rebecca Taylor "Taylor" dress would be perfect and has some really fun details. The fabric is a stretchy waffle knit with ladder stitching at the waist and the circle skirt moves so well. I paired the dress with some old standbys from my closet, nude Diane von Furstenburg sandals. Cannot tell you how many times I have worn these shoes from Scout and I still love them. Moral to the story (aka my rambling)...a fun LBD and nude heels are great investment pieces and closet must-haves.
