Weekend in ATL

I was able to spend a long weekend in Atlanta for my godson's confirmation.  As always, the days and nights were packed.  On Friday, we met friends at 1 Kept.  I definitely recommend their flatbread!  The atmosphere was great for meeting a group or date night.  At lunch on Saturday, I satisfied my Café at Pharr craving.  I cannot tell you how many times I have eaten the celery chicken salad plate and still love it.  We had a few minutes to run in Tulipano where my sweet friend let me help her find the perfect ensemble for her son's confirmation.  She looked gorgeous!

Saturday night was spent at Bartaco catching up with one of my BFFs from UGA.  The Bartaco Margarita was insanely delicious and the oyster taco was my favorite.  Just a little advice, do not wear a navy blue gingham shirt and white jeans because you will be teased incessantly as this is the uniform of all Bartaco employees.  

Sunday began at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.  My godson was confirmed at the 8:45 service.  It seems like yesterday that I was changing his diaper and pushing him in a stroller.  Time flies!  We had brunch at Horseradish Grill followed by a Braves game.  It will probably be my last trip to Turner Field because this is the last season before they move to the new stadium in Marietta. No trip to Atlanta is complete without dinner at Houston's and that is where we wrapped things up on Sunday night.  The spinach and artichoke dip has been a favorite for years!
