Wow. I just returned home from the Indigenous Selections wine dinner at Seville Quarter. The wine and food were amazing. Adam Hoffman of Indigenous Selections was in town to present the wines. Emily and I really enjoyed meeting him. He is very well educated on Italian wine and food. It was so much fun to listen to him describe each wine and tell the history of the producers. Chef Brandon Melton did a fabulous job of pairing the food and wine. My personal favorite was the second course, Bucatini all'Amatriciana paired with a 2008 La Spinetta Il Gentile D'Casanova. And wait. The dessert. Limoncello Curd Layered Pound Cake paired with a 2013 La Spinetta Moscato D'Asti Bricco Quaglia.
Great wine. Great food. Great company. Great night.
Sweet dreams.
