Making Memorial Day Memories

For the last several years, on the Friday before Memorial Day, we have picked up the kids from school and headed straight to Seaside.  There is something so freeing about getting out of school for the summer.  I remember feeling that way as a child, and now, I feel that way all over again with my kids.

This particular weekend was full of good times with good friends both new and old.  We spent many relaxing hours on the most beautiful of beaches enjoying the white sand and clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  In the evenings we gathered at the house for happy hours and dinners filled with conversation and story-telling and laughter.  Soon after we arrived we met some fellow Seasiders who call Nashville home, and I felt like my worlds collided in the best possible way.  We shared stories of Nashville, of country music and of our mutual love of Seaside.  It was another memorable Memorial Day weekend!
