I love a fit and flare dress. Not only do they flatter most figures, but they are so comfortable (mainly because you don't have to worry about constrictive undergarments). I know that in many ways, they don't really jive with my personality, but I think there is something so quintessentially girly about a 1950s housewife look. Just to clarify, I have no desire to actually live the life of a 1950s housewife.
On my recent Atlanta excursion, I spent some time in the
Alice and Olivia store in the new Buckhead Atlanta shopping area. The store was so bright and airy, and the sales staff was incredible. I would have been happy with just about anything the store, but I opted for this white fit and flare that was on sale, and I love it! While I was trying it on, I borrowed some blue shoes for a pop of color, which reminded me of these sea-green Moschino shoes. I have had them forever, and I don't wear them very often, but every time I do, they take me back to shopping in Milan with my mom. Such a great memory! To pull it all together, I grabbed this fun necklace from Bluetique here in Pensacola, and voila, my outfit of the day is complete!
