Fiesta On The Boat Parade

Every town has its thing - that defining characteristic or attraction that sets it apart from other cities!  Nashville has the music.  New Orleans has the French Quarter and Mardi Gras.  Asheville has the mountains and the Biltmore House.  Of course, there is so much more to each of these cities, but it got me to thinking about what we have in my hometown.  Everyone knows we have beautiful beaches and the Gulf of Mexico, but we also have this little festival called the Fiesta of Five Flags!

Fiesta is a bunch of events at the start of the summer all to celebrate Pensacola's heritage.  This past weekend was the annual boat parade from the Pensacola Yacht Club to the boardwalk on Pensacola Beach.  It's a really unique event.  It's basically one big day-long party, and it is so much fun!  This year we were on an amazing boat with a great group of people.  I hope the pictures convey just a little bit of the fun we had!
