I wore the same style bra for years and years. While living in Atlanta in my early 20s, I went to Saks for a legit fitting. The sales lady informed me that I was wearing the wrong size and that I was not a 34B but a 32A. Ouch! That hurt a little. She directed me to underwire bras with padding. I wore these replenishing multiple times and never questioning the comfort or style. Often, it is a challenge to find my size in the store. Forget going to Victoria's Secret, they do not carry it. I strongly dislike that store anyway but that is a rant for another day.
This past spring, Emily and I went to a local store to shop and take some pictures. When we arrived, a friend was there trying on some pieces from a recent shipment. I noticed that she was wearing a pretty and comfortable looking bralette. This spurred a conversation on bras and size which prompted me to rethink my choice in undergarments.
My underwire/padded bras have now been pushed to the back of the drawer. Bralettes and Free to Be
Bras from Lululemon have taken their place. Change is good...

LOL. I am making that change too. Wires are becoming bothersome.
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm wondering why it took me so long to figure out exactly how uncomfortable they are!
