The
Old Edwards Inn & Spa in Highlands, North Carolina is so beautiful and a highlight of the mountain town. As I mentioned yesterday, my friends and I were able to spend some time there on Saturday. My facial was very relaxing and left my skin feeling very healthy and smooth. Spending time in the spa is almost as nice as the service itself! This visit, we chose the hot tub first and then moved to the chaise lounges in the solarium. Our plan was to shower and have lunch in
The Wine Garden but we were so content in the spa that we decided to eat in
The Spa Café. I recommend the Smoked Sunburst Trout Dip and the Seasonal Salad topped with grilled Sunburst Trout. Take a look at
Sunburst Trout Farms website. Their trout was delicious!
After lunch, we walked down Main Street and visited some of our favorite shops:
Rosenthal's, Bear Mountain Outfitters,
Highland Hiker, Highlands Emporium, The Dry Sink, & The Toy Store. We grabbed coffee at Buck's, hit the
Mountain Fresh Grocery and headed back to the house. It was a day to remember.
Cheers to Lucy and Tom for making it all possible!

This is the perfect post because my husband and I are trying to find a place to visit in September and I was thinking about a Mountain destination close to us! This place looks amazing, minus the snakes!

Definitely consider Highlands! Great hiking, great restaurants and a great spa! I will definitely take a hiking stick next time to warn the snakes :)
