In The Land Of Make Believe

This time last year, we had just started this blog, and I did a post about a birthday party called "Party Princess."  It was one of our most-views posts, so I felt the  pressure to make sure this year's post about my little fairy's fourth birthday was just as entertaining.  Hope you enjoy!

Once upon a time there was a little pink fairy named Marian.  She wore a beautiful flower wreath around her head and waved a magic wand of ribbons.  Her delicate wings were the most beautiful shade of pink and, as they fluttered, fairy dust fell to the ground.  One Saturday in September, the little fairy Marian hosted a party for all her fairy friends - Lovelace, Sally, Frances, Charlotte and Edie.  They played in the garden, munched chicken nuggets and fruit, sipped lemonade and nibbled on the most delectable pink cake.  Visitors came from near and far to catch a glimpse of this little pink fairy as she sang and danced with her friends to the music of Taylor Swift.  Finally, after so much revelry, the little fairy was exhausted and was carried home to rest surrounded by wonderful presents and full of happiness.

Thank you to my friend Daisy who made the wreaths while I made the wands.

When she saw this cake at the Cake Gallery, nothing else would do.

Our fairies in the garden.
The brothers crashed the party.

Dancing and singing.

Claudia, home from Ole Miss, made it to the party.

She thinks she's a rock star, and so do we!
