30A Songwriters Festival

We're still recovering from our weekend at the 30A Songwriters Festival in Walton County, Florida.  It was three days of music shared with good friends in a wonderful setting.  This year, Jackson Browne and Grace Potter headlined the big shows on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, but one of the real highlights for me was seeing Levi Lowrey at a smaller venue Saturday night.  Six years ago, I caught one of his shows at the Ryman when he was touring with the Zac Brown Band, and I enjoyed him so much that night that I bought his disc.  Saturday night I was the gushing, obnoxious fan who recounted the entire experience from that show six years ago, yet he was gracious and even took a picture with Traci and me.  Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post to check out the video clip of Levi Lowrey's performance of "Colder Weather" from Saturday.  It's one of my favorite songs, and Levi Lowrey co-wrote it.  Another memorable weekend at the 30A Songwriters Festival is in the books.  Can't wait to see who the headliners will be next year!
