Do you have a favorite restaurant in your city where you always go for a celebration? Ours would have to be Jackson's. Today, we celebrated the birthday of a dear friend. I will not say which milestone we celebrated but one of these pictures might give it away. With many people headed out of town tomorrow for Memorial Day, we decided on a luncheon to celebrate this sweet girl.
We started with the Chateau St. Michelle "Horse Heaven" Sauvignon Blanc. Often, Sauvignon Blancs have too much citrus for me but this one was perfect. A majority of our party ordered the Shrimp and Avocado Stacked Salad. It is a favorite of mine from the lunch menu. I am stealing the description to share with you. Boiled shrimp tossed with fresh tarragon aioli and stacked between avocado halves with microgreens and tortilla shards surrounded by Roma tomatoes drizzled with white balsamic vinaigrette. If your mouth is not watering now, well, maybe you do not like shrimp and avocados!
We ended the meal with a toast of Piper Sonoma Brut and delicious cupcakes from Smallcakes. It was so nice to celebrate our sweet Melissa on her special day. I cannot neglect to mention that her doting husband sent her beautiful roses during lunch and even spelled her name in candles on the cupcakes. Well done, Jon!
What a sweet way to celebrate your friend!! Sounds like a great restaurant too! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
