Black & White Date Night

Happy Monday morning, friends! I hope you had a great weekend. I am back and sharing my outfit from our date night on Saturday. A few weeks ago, some friends had a Cabi show and I ordered the Domino blouse. It is simple and white on the front but the back is cut out revealing a layer of black mesh. I was picturing it with my ripped jeans but wanted to dress it up a little for a nice dinner. I paired it with my black shorts and black booties.

My Dad gave us a bottle Caymus Special Selection Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to take to dinner. I was so excited to try it because it is a very special wine that I do not get very often! We Ubered to Iron where we enjoyed Palafox Mules, White Truffle Drizzled House Cut Fries, and Crispy Cornmeal Dusted Oysters while our wine decanted. The wine did not disappoint and neither did our meal at Iron.

OOTD: Equipment Shirt

I developed a love for button downs after my second child. They are more flattering than a clingy t-shirt and much more forgiving. I have casual plaid ones and dressier silk ones but my absolute favorites are made by the French label Equipment. I could wear one every day and be so happy. They are great with jeans or nice pants or a pencil skirt...the options are limitless.

When we were in New Orleans for my birthday, my friends and I did some shopping on Magazine Street. We went into Jean Therapy and one of the cute girls working was wearing the Bright White Star Print button down with distressed boyfriend cutoffs. It was so cute and I was super excited to find one in my size on the rack. Sold! Even better, when I checked out it was 20% off!

I will wear it in the fall and winter with jeans and a jacket or sweater but for now I paired it with black shorts to go to the PCC Farm to Table dinner last weekend. Jeans just aren't happening yet in Florida.
