I developed a love for button downs after my second child. They are more flattering than a clingy t-shirt and much more forgiving. I have casual plaid ones and dressier silk ones but my absolute favorites are made by the French label
Equipment. I could wear one every day and be so happy. They are great with jeans or nice pants or a pencil skirt...the options are limitless.
When we were in New Orleans for my birthday, my friends and I did some shopping on Magazine Street. We went into
Jean Therapy and one of the cute girls working was wearing the
Bright White Star Print button down with distressed boyfriend cutoffs. It was so cute and I was super excited to find one in my size on the rack. Sold! Even better, when I checked out it was 20% off!
I will wear it in the fall and winter with jeans and a jacket or sweater but for now I paired it with black shorts to go to the PCC Farm to Table dinner last weekend. Jeans just aren't happening yet in Florida.

This locket belonged to my grand grandmother, Caroline VanPelt.
ExVoto attached it to their chain and added a freshwater pearl. |
